A road accident that occurred in Rajasthan’s Udaipur on Saturday evening killed 18 labourers. Of them, six were killed on the spot. As many as 25 five, including 16 men and none women, were receiving treatment at MB Hospital of Udaipur.
Additional district magistrate Anurag Bhargav announced a compensation of Rs 50,000 each for the families of the deceased and Rs 10,000 each for the kin of the injured.
The incident took place in Dhulapani area around 7pm when a speeding mini-truck rammed into a parked vehicle. Villagers reached the spot and started the rescue operations before the police arrived.
