Putting up a show of strength at the workers' conference of the Kota North constituency after his suspension from the BJP following the CMHO controversy, the suspended BJP MLA Prahlad Gunjal expressed faith in CM Vasundhara Raje and the party high command on his suspension issue.
Describing his suspension as a big punishment for a small mistake, Gunjal asserted that he would sacrifice his life for the self-respect of the workers.
On Sunday evening, Gunjal organised a party workers’ conference titled ‘Vijay Utsav’ at a private marriage garden along NH-12 (Kota-Bundi National Highway) to celebrate victory of the BJP in recent Kota Municipal Corporation (KMC) polls.
While addressing the party workers, Gunjal cited the CMHO controversy as ‘unfortunate’ and his ‘emotional outburst’ for has regrets.
At the same time, Gunjal stated that his ‘vidai’ (presumed to be his indication towards his suspension from the party) is nothing as he can give his life for party workers. On CMHO controversy, Gunjal tried to explain that whatever he did, he did it for the self-respect of the party workers.
“Such a big punishment for such a minor mistake of mine is not right,” said Gunjal. Although, he said that he has complete faith on the Central party leadership including party president Amit Shah, Vasundhara Raje and state party president Ashok Parnami.
“I have not committed rape or murder like former Congress ministers Mahipal Maderna, Babulal Nagar and others. If I would have committed such crimes, I would not plead guilty and instead commit suicide in Chambal river,” claimed Gunjal.
He said that he does not have any animosity with doctors whom he regards as next to god. Gunjal also appreciated PM Narendra Modi and described him as a global leader while also applauded Vasundhara Raje for carrying out development work in the state.
