The suspended BJP MLA from Kota North, Prahlad Gunjal, on Friday said he will present his side of the story over the CMHO (chief medical health officer) episode to the party high command and state party chief. Meanwhile, CMHO Dr RN Yadav has welcomed the BJP’s move.

“I respect the decision of the party and will put forward my views on the issue before the national BJP president and the state party leadership. I have no animosity with the doctors and I worked for the aide of party workers,” said Gunjal. “I had already written a letter to the CM and BJP state president on Thursday regretting the CMHO episode,” he added.

When asked about any sort of conspiracy against him within his party, he said that everyone knew the truth and he had nothing to say on this. He also said that he has not committed any crime like corruption or murder.

On the other hand the CMHO, Yadav said although the suspension was party’s decision but certainly it was a welcome move. He said that the suspension shows that party is disciplined.

However, he said that he did not demanded for suspension of the MLA but has sought action on his police complaint against MLA and his one supporter.

Dr Yadav had tendered his resignation to the government on Thursday following threatening of the suspended MLA.

Meanwhile, the Kota City Police have forwarded the case lodged against Gunjal to the Crime Investigation Department, Crime Branch (CID-CB) Jaipur. SP Kota City, Amandeep Singh Kapoor said that since Gunjal was an MLA so CID-CB would investigate such case.

Dr Yadav had lodged FIR against Gunjal and his supporter, Dileep Shukla at Dadabari and Nayapura police station of Kota city respectively for threatening him under sections 387, 353, 189 of IPC, 66 A of the Information Technology Act and Section 3 of SC/ST Act since CMHO belongs to Scheduled caste category.

Pradesh Congress Committee, chief, Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot who was in Kota on Thursday night has also condemned Gunjal’s act.

He said that such behaviour was expected from an MLA.

The CMHO had recorded mobile threatening call of Gunjal and later it went viral on social networking site, Whatsapp. Later his supporter, Dileep Shukla also threatened Gunjal on phone for not spreading the recording.
