Swine flu claims eight more lives

Eight more people succumbed to swine flu in the state since Thursday, taking the toll due to the H1N1 virus to 251 in the state, a health department official said on Friday.

Out of 5,262 patients who were tested positive for the HINI virus, 251 died since January 1 this year, an official of the state medical and health Directorate said. Jaipur has recorded the maximum deaths with the toll rising to 51, followed by Ajmer (29), Jodhpur (28), Niger (23), Barmer (19), Kota (11), Pali (10), Chittorgarh and Sikar eight each, Bainswara and Bhilwara six each and one to four at several other places.
