According to the police, the woman, in her complaint, has said that the accused blackmailed her with a video clip. “The complainant has said that in 2012, the men somehow filmed her while she was bathing and started blackmailing her by threatening to upload the clip on the internet,” said Jagmohan Sharma, assistant commissioner of police, Shastri Nagar.

He added that the woman, who is married, has alleged that she was sexually abused by the duo for the past five years.

“The accused have been identified as Kuldip Jat, who is the woman’s neighbour and another man named Vicky,” said Sharma.

The police said that in the complaint the woman has alleged that the men have also physically assaulted her several times after demanding money.

They allegedly beat her up on October 24, following which she registered a case of gangrape against them at the Bhatta Basti police station, said officials.

“The case has been registered and the woman’s statement will be recorded before a magistrate. A medical checkup of the complaint will also be conducted,” said the ACP.

The police said that both the accused are yet to be arrested.

“The decision to arrest the accused will be taken after further investigation. More details will come up as the probe progresses,” said Sharma.

The men have been booked for extortion, said officials.
