NIT to hold short term course on advanced materials and computer techniques

Physics and computer science and engineering department of Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology is organising a one-week short term course on 'Recent Trends in Advanced Materials and Computing Techniques' from March 15 under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme II.

NIT coordinator Rohit Mehra said that the objective of the course was to provide exposure to participants on research and devlopment in material and computing areas.

All sessions for the course would be conducted in a virtual class room and would be webcast in various NITs and IITs of India simultaneously through virtual class room.

More than 70 participants from various institutes across the country would attend the course.
"Nowadays, the demand of advanced materials is increasing in a tremendous way due to their fundamental importance and technological applications in multidisciplinary areas of science, engineering and technology."

The programme would be inaugurated by Dr. Samir Kumar Das, director, NIT Jalandhar while experts from institutes will deliver expert talks during the programme.
