The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has said that it is using the 1st class waiting hall at Nakodar railway station as residence for its personnel.
In an official communication to youth Congress leader Gaurav Jain, deputy inspector general of RPF (P and TD) railway Board said that the RPF post was created at Nakodar for the security of passengers and railway property.
A total of 13 employees, including one inspector, have been deployed at Nakodar for 24-hour duty. He said, “As there is no barrack or residence for the staff, therefore it is using a waiting hall at Nakodar station as the alternative.”
He said that the waiting hall would be vacated once the construction of barracks and residence for RPF was completed immediately.
