An early morning Port Blair-bound Air India flight with 140 passengers on board returned here for the second consecutive day after being unable to land due to bad weather, airport officials said.
Flight IC 187, which had taken off from NSC Bose International airport here for Port Blair at 5.35 am, returned to the metropolis at 10.10 am, they said.
On Sunday, the flight with 145 passengers on board was also forced to return as it was unable to land due to bad weather.
Air India will operate two flights on Tuesday morning to clear the backlog.
