The Calcutta high court on Friday granted anticipatory bail to Preeti Surekha, one of AMRI Hospital directors, against whom an arrest order was issued after a fire last December claimed 94 lives, mostly patients.
Surekha was granted bail by the division bench of Justice Toufique Uddin and Justice Asim Kumar Ray.
She and two other directors, Aditya Agarwal and Rahul Todi, were declared proclaimed offenders by a court Jan 6.
All the directors of the hospital arrested in the case have now been granted bail.
Sixteen people have been charge sheeted under various penal laws, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
The December 9 pre-dawn blaze in the hospital in South Kolkata's Dhakuria area had choked to death critically ill patients and a couple of nurses.
