Kunal letter to CM: I am innocent but ready to quit

Tainted Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP and former CEO of media companies owned by Saradha Group, Kunal Ghosh wants to quit. Ghosh, in a letter to chief minister Mamata Banerjee also pleaded his innocence.

Ghosh in a six-page letter to Mamata clarified his position and offered explanations the allegations made against him and Rajya Sabha member Srinjoy Bose.

"I am ready to resign if you instruct me to do so," Ghosh wrote. "I am ready to face any investigation and I am also ready to cooperate with the investigation process."

He claimed that all allegations and propaganda against him are lies. "I am a professional and an employee. I worked in the media," Ghosh wrote.

He also claimed that he had never attended any business seminar or meetings. He also mentioned that he was not attached to Saradha Group when Sudipta Sen started the business. He joined the group when Saradha signed an agreement with Pratidin regarding a channel. He also mentioned that the Trinamool Congress was not in power and he was also not a Rajya Sabha MP then. "They hired me as a professional journalist," he wrote.

In the letter he admitted that he had tried his best to take the media houses to new heights but failed. Ghosh mentioned that he never left his colleagues when they were in trouble during the last three months. He wrote that Sen accepted his resignation.
