Nothing abnormal, says CPI(M)

kolkata Updated: Dec 06, 2007 20:44 IST

The CPI (M) on Thursday termed the recovery of human bones from five graves from Bidyapith village in Khejuri, near Nandigram, as "normal".

"This is quite normal. When you can find half-burnt skulls in cremation grounds, there is nothing abnormal here. Don't try to find meaning in it," CPI(M) Central Committee member Shyamal Chakraborty told a private TV channel.

He claimed that the bodies in the graves might be of those killed in a bomb attack.

He said post mortem had been conducted on the bodies and they were half-burnt because of shortage of firewood.

"You should wait two to three days to know more details," Chakraborty said.
