Ponzi scheme kingpin Sudipta Sen, and three others accused in the said scheme were jeered as they were brought to a Kolkata court.

The protestors were lathi-charged as they tried to get inside the court where they have been produced, reports said.

Twelve days after he ran out on lakhs of depositors, Sudipta Sen was arrested from Kashmir.

Two of his employees — Saradha Group director Debjani Mukhopadhyay and Arvind Kumar Chauhan, a manager who ran the business in Jharkhand — were caught along with him.

The three had checked into a hotel in Sonmarg on Monday.

There has been a lot of angst due to crisis stemming from the collapse of the Saradha Group that duped thousands of citizens after they had invested their life's savings.
