BJP Mahila Morcha president Smriti Irani on Saturday slammed Trinamool Congress for its alleged connection with the Maoists, saying the party's support to the ultras for political gains is an injustice to people.

"I have said at various platforms that the Maoists claim to speak for the common people, but continue to kill them. To support them for political gains is an injustice against the people. People should think whether they should vote for political parties that support violence and killing," Irani told newsmen when asked to comment on reported links between Trinamool Congress and the Maoists.

The television actor-turned-politician, who was talking at the sidelines of the BJP's 'Chintan Baithak', ridiculed the Trinamool Congress' slogan for a change of regime in West Bengal.
