For all those who have always wanted to explore music and its different genres, two upcoming festivals might be the perfect fix for them. With the five-day long Rajasthan International Folk Festival, there couldn’t be a better opportunity for music listeners to explore the richness of the traditional folk music.

This extravaganza will be followed by a three-day festival, Oktoberfest in Goa, which will see artists treat the audience with electronic dance music. Music festivals across India offer a unique take and perspective on different sounds and these two festivals promise to be exactly that. More About The Fest
Having started in 2007, the Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) promises to be a musical treat for all those who prefer traditional and folk music. With international artists such as Gipsy All Stars, Ustad Daud Khan, Desert Lounge and the Qawalli duo of Rizwan and Muazzam, the five-day festival has the potential to be high on stars. The seventh edition of the festival, to be held in the city of Jodhpur, has rockstar Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones) as the ambassador.

More About The Fest
Now in its third edition, Oktoberfest has been a source of some adrenaline pumping electronic dance music fom the last two years. The three-day festival will witness over 30 national and international music acts and will be followed by after parties at Goa hot spots, each day of the festival. It will feature several international artists such as Marco V, John Dahlback, Yves V, Marcel Woods, while the Indian electronica will be represented by names such as 91 degrees, Usman, Akshit Shetty and Amit.
