The riveting performances by several medical and non-medical colleges of the Capital helped make Nirvana 2013, the fest of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), an enjoyable affair. This year’s theme was 100 years of Bollywood. Day one saw the college crowd cheering their favourite bands in the Battle of Bands competition. The celebrity night saw singer Aditi Singh Sharma enthralling the audience with her peppy numbers from Aisha, No one killed Jessica, Delhi Belly and Rockstar.

Day two saw the solo, duet and group singing competition, which featured participants from several management, medical and Delhi University colleges. The song list included Maieri, Maula Mere, Bheege Honth Tere, and others. The western numbers included songs like The Scientist, When You Say Nothing At All, etc. The day ended on high note with the fashion contest, Panache 2013.

Girls donning creative frills and long inched stilettos, sashaying down the ramp, received thunderous applause from the audience. The participants chose to flaunt unconventional themes like shades of life and death and were dressed in masquerades and as pirates.

The last day saw performance by singer Benny Dayal who rocked the evening with songs like Lat Lag Gaye, Aadat Se Majboor, Pappu Can’t Dance and Dum Maaro Dum, among many others.
