Even after his death, Michael Jackson is fondly remembered as the King of Pop . Music and dance aficionados continue to seek inspiration from the late artiste for their performances.

Today (August 31), around 100 kids from a local NGO are paying tribute to MJ by performing to some of the popular songs from his repertoire. The event will be held at a city mall, with three enactments in different time slots.

“The idea behind the initiative is to spread the message of unity, harmony and hope for a better world through the voices of underprivileged children and the language of dance,” says Viraj Shah from Clove Entertainment, one of the organisers.

The dance troupe will comprise kids between five to 15 years of age. They will dance to MJ’s popular songs like They don't really care about us, Thriller, Beat it, Don't stop till you get enough and Heal the world.

Srinidhi Shetty, the choreographer of the show, says, “It took us about a month and a half to choreograph and train the kids. They were very excited about learning popular dance styles introduced by MJ like the moonwalk and robotic steps.”
