Art is how you see it, and more often than not, it is said that art should be priceless. Here is your chance to put worth to these artworks. An upcoming charity initiative by Delhi Art Gallery is a one-stop shop for bidding for works by modern masters such as Jamini Roy, M F Husain, S H Raza, and F N Souza, among others.

The gallery, in association with Khushii Smiles charity, is hosting an auction of some famous works by renowned artists, ranging from Raza’s Bindu Vistaar to Husain’s treasured untitled works.

The event, which will be hosted by British High Commissioner Sir James and Lady Bevan, will also be attended by former cricketer Kapil Dev.

"We are grateful to the gallery for opening up its archives to share its wonderful treasures of modern art with the art-loving community for this auction. Khushii has been attached with the art fraternity for a while, and the goodwill it shares with artists and art collectors, has stood the test of time. If more such corporate houses stepped out to support causes such as ours, Delhi – and India – would be a better place to live in, both in terms of humanity and the future we are hoping to build for the nation and its people," says Dev, who is also the chairman of the organisation.

Ashish Anand, the director of Delhi Art Gallery, says it’s a great opportunity for buyers and there is a high possibility of them getting a fair deal here.

"The low price estimates and absence of a buyer’s premium should be a major incentive for collectors and art lovers," says Anand.
The exhibition will also see some niche artists, with a relatively lower price on their paintings.
