Highway director Imtiaz Ali on Monday released Tisca Chopra's book Acting Smart in the Capital.
Speaking at the event, the 42-year-old film director said, "I know that this book has some really meaningful thing in it. There are many people out there who want to be actors and most of them are not successful. And most of them are wasting their time here. But this thought in itself is very provoking to write a book. And when actor writes it, somebody who has seen the industry from both outside and within, it's great."
The book is for cinegoers, movie buffs and people who are venturing into the movie industry.
Chopra has essayed some supporting actor roles with elan, including in films such as Taare Zameen Par, Firaaq and Qissa.
Tisca said that there was no other such book in the market with similar content. The book is full of information about how to make it in the business and has interesting trivia from people like Imtiaz Ali, Raju Hirani, Shabana Azmi and Boman Irani.
