Neil Gaiman has five new stories in the works, two of which are picture books and the other three being novels writtern with young adults in mind.
The two picture books will star a little panda, Chu, with Chu's Day illustrated by Adam Rex (of the Lucy Rose series) and first up with a due date of January 2013.
Of the others, there'll be a sequel to the Nordic fantasy of Odd and the Frost Giants; a novel about storytelling called Fortunately, the Milk, with artwork from Marvel Comics' Skottie Young; and a third book whose identity remains a mystery.
All five are to be published by HarperCollins.
The British writer became well known for his graphic novels (in particular, Vertigo Comics' The Sandman) and fiction (American Gods), though he has been a published children's author since 1997's The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish.
