Being fashionable is being the inner you: Akshay Kumar

What does being stylish mean to you?
Being stylish is not easy. It’s expensive and time consuming. But there’s something about wearing clothes your own way that maybe nobody else has the courage or confidence to do. The inspiration you give people is worth all the effort to make yourself presentable. Being fashionable is being the inner you.

When you dress up, do you ever think about how it will affect your fans or others?
Almost everything I wear every day is either for my fans or my wife. You could say there is a hidden meaning behind every outfit, whether I’m showing the world how I like to wear my track pants, or how I like to roll my shirt sleeves. It’s to let people know that no matter how simple something is, you can always make it your own.

What style tips would you like to share?
Stop caring about what others think, do what makes you feel stylish. That’s what defines us. There are no rules in fashion, so there’s nothing to worry about. After all, clothes are just clothes, not weapons to be handled carefully.

Describe your worst fashion faux pas and how you dealt with it.
I have no regrets. If you don’t the have courage to try something outrageous, you don’t have courage at all.

With confidence, you can carry off anything: Sonam Kapoor

What does being stylish mean to you?
Being stylish means being true to yourself and what you are wearing. It’s all about being comfortable with what you put on yourself. And I never feel any kind of pressure, because I am very confident about my personal style.

When you dress up, do you ever think about how it will affect your fans or others?
Never. I don’t dress up for anyone but myself. So, I don’t really care about what others are going to think or whether they will get inspired by my clothes and style. Above everything else, I need to be true to myself.

What style tips would you like to share?
Saris are always the best option. Indian bodies can always carry off darker colours better than lighter shades. But the best advice would be: please be confident with whatever you pick up and wear. With confidence, you can carry off anything.
Describe your worst fashion faux pas and how you dealt with it.

I haven’t made any fashion faux pas. Simply because fashion goof-ups happen when other people feel that I did something wrong with my styling and clothes, but since I don’t get bothered about what others are writing or saying about my style, there’s no fashion faux pas for me.
