Emma Watson is shedding her good-girl image for her new film The Bling Ring and her GQ cover proves it.
Post her Hermione Granger days, Emma Watson already seems to have come of age with films like My Week with Marilyn, The Bling Ring and Perks of Being a Wallflower in her kitty. As the Harry Potter star turns 22, we track her fashion sense.
Emma's look has both the bling AND the rings.
The 22-year-old actress, who plays the gang leader Nicki in the film, is seen in an itsy-bitsy dress, flaunting tattoos here and
there. The dress has a strategically placed ring (not bling though) and if that wasn't enough, she's even pulling her dressing further down to show off some of the ink on her bod. The outfit is teamed with bright orange bangles, a ring and fuschia bangles.
But before you jump the gun, both the tattoos and the hair are fake, reported Huffington Post.
Interestingly, Emma 'hates' her character in the film. She says, "When I read the script and I realised that essentially it was a meditation on fame and what it's become to our society, I had to do it. The character is everything that I felt strongly against - she's superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She's all of these things and I realised that I hated her. How do you play someone you hate?
"But I found it really interesting and it gave me a whole new insight into what my job, or my role as an actress, could be," said the Harry Potter star.
The Bling Ring is based on the true story of a series of burglaries at celebrity homes. Set to Sleigh Bells' Crown on the Ground, the teaser focuses on Emma Watson, whose character finds herself wrapped up with a well-off group of teenagers who steal from the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox and Paris Hilton.
The Bling Ring is due out worldwide in June, with a premiere possible at the upcoming Cannes film festival.
