Fashionable twist to activism

For some fancy decor
And as you shop for designer wear, those looking at perking up the decor of their homes can check out some cool creations at the the two-day-long decor exhibition, India Design ID 2013.
Apart from fancy furnishings, the exhibition also targets reducing the gap between consumers and creators. So, get ready to open your homes to some uber luxe furnishings, right in the city. Talking about the event, interior designer Sarita Handa says, “This luxury décor exhibit will offer great options for the consumers, especially the young urban couples who have a greater penchant for designer consumer goods and have refined tastes too.”
Decor companies too seem to be elated with the new opportunities. Hoping to explore a new market, Mumbai-based architect-designer Pinakin Patel says, “This show will allow people to see discerning products related to home decor, all under one roof.” Designer Sunita Kohli, on the other hand, is all in awe of the slew of lighting fixtures that’ll be showcased here.
“There is no great contemporary lighting in terms of styling or techniques available as yet in India. Now, that the market has opened up, we’d like to work with premier lighting brands,” says Kohli.
