If you have dark or dusky skin, consider yourself blessed. It's the new "in thing" for men and a good enough reason for you to stop spending time and resources trying to change or alter your natural skin tone.

Most women we know prefer a man who is "tall, dark and handsome." Road that over and over again: there's no mention of being 'fair' here. This, in these times of 'chocolate heroes, should be good news to your ears! So if you are a bit more 'sun-kissed' than you would like to be, consider that as an asset. We certainly would.

White: Stark and bright shades of white comp1ement and accentuate dark skin tones very well. This is one neutral colour that you can use to your advantage by wearing it on just about everything - including T-shirts, shirts, jackets, jeans, pyjamas, traditional ethnic wear and even shoes. Keep in mind though, that shade variations like off white and ivory do not look as crisp and smart on dark skin tones as stark white does.

Black: Quite like white, (but in smaller doses), black works well on men with wheatish or dark skin tones. It is however advisable not to wear an all-black look, but break it by using contrasting colours like white, grey red or silver Try this styling trick on formal suits, casual jackets,Tshirts and jeans.

Warm colours: Besides wearing white and black, we strongly recommend you put together a wardrobe that includes clothes in a warm palette of earth colours like brown, military green and charcoal grey These colours can be used on accessories, casual pants, work trousers and both formal and casual shirts.

Muted and dull tones: Don't let public opinion fool you - you can safely wear strong colours like red, orange, green, yellow and blue - but it's best to opt for muted and dul1tones instead of bright hues which can contrast with your skin colour.
