After weeks of speculation, the winners of Delhi’s Most Stylish 2011 were declared at a do that matched their style.
It was a heady combination of glamour, style and wit at The Hindustan Times Delhi’s Most Stylish 2011, held on Sunday night at The Oberoi, Gurgaon. The event, in its second edition, honoured the style icons of the Capital and was attended by some of the finest connoisseurs of style — from Bollywood, art, politics and literature. As the city’s swishest set gathered for a sit-down dinner over sparkling wines, the talks veered from fashion to politics and style to Bollywood.
The ceremony, hosted by HT City editor Sonal Kalra, felicitated the 20 most stylish men and women, chosen by an eminent jury comprising fashion designers JJ Valaya, Payal Jain, stylist Gautam Kalra and HT special projects editor Vasantha Angamuthu. The team came up with the list after dedicated discussions that lasted weeks. The jury chose FDCI president Sunil Sethi as the Most Stylish Man and actor Chitrangda Singh as the Most Stylish Woman.
The grand evening, bathed in champagne, chandeliers and all things chic, saw entrepreneur Robert Vadra and artist Blanca Peralta bagging the coveted People’s Choice awards for the most stylish man and woman, respectively.
Actor Imran Khan
who gave away the People’s Choice Awards, had the guests in splits with his witty jokes, and even showed off his unique style statement — a sock instead of the pocket square in his coat.
All the winners walked away with specially created personalised trophy editions of HT City.
