Mumbai’s Most Stylish 2013 winner Sonam Kapoor talks to Hindustan Times about fashion, her style, an icon she looks up to and much more.

How would you define your style quotient?
Style is an expression of your individuality. Who you are and what your mood is, is what you wear.

When did you identify your particular style?
I have eclectic taste, and I love vintage style mixed with glamour and old world charm.

One outfit that never fails you?
A beautiful chiffon sari.

One outfit you’d never agree to wear?
Anything that looks like cheap spandex.

Who is your favourite style icon?
Maharani Indira Devi of Cooch Behar, Gayatri Devi, Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn, Kate Moss, Coco Chanel, Greta Garbo and Grace Kelly.

How would you define your style quotient?
Style is all about being comfortable. I don’t believe in following a style because it is a trend. I need to be comfortable in my clothes.
