HT City Youth Nexus 2014: rocking the wrap-up

The biggest campus fest in the Capital – HT City Youth Nexus 2014, came to an end recently with the short-­listed teams in the street play and fashion show events putting up a spectacle for the audience.

Organised by Fever Entertainment, the fest was held at Ram Lal Anand College. Day two of the finale began with Uprisers – the street play competition, where the final four teams highlighted socially relevant issues through their acts. Rangayan – the team from Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, bagged the first position while Vayam – the team from Shivaji College, was the runner-up at the event.

Uprisers was followed by Turn On Style – the fashion show, where fashionistas took the stage by storm. Poise – the team from Institute of Home Economics, was declared the winner and Glitz – the team from Kamala Nehru College, came second.

This was not all. Next was a power-packed performance from Sufi rock band Astitva that got the crowd going. The concluding act came from singer-actor Monali Thakur, who sang some of her hit tracks such as Aga Bai, Sawar Loon and Tune Maari Entriyaan, among others.
