New to college and wondering where to get last year’s notes from? Here’s a website that can help you get second hand notes and books for just a click, and that too at affordable prices!
Called www.bookege.com offers you books of all categories. Started by three 18-year old-students — Aditya Jain, and Anmol Bakshi, from Amity Law School and Shubham Arora— from BITS Pilani, the website has gathered 600 plus hits since July 15, 2012, when it was started.
Derived from ‘Book’ and Coll-’ege’, the sites name — Bookege means books for college students. “The website provides an online platform for students where they can buy and sell off their used books conveniently. It helps them save time, money and fuel. There is no shipping cost either,” says Jain, a second year student. An arena to make buyers and sellers meet, which in this case are first year and second year students, the website reportedly is the first Indian site to sell second hand books and college notes.
“It simplifies buying and selling of old books by removing the middlemen and hence making it more economical,” he adds.
The students have also started a Facebook page which has more than 500 likes. “The main aim of starting this website is to provide a help students buy second hand books from their peers while sitting in the comfort of their cosy beds while saving a whole lot of cash,” says Shubham Arora, a second year student.
