A nutritious diet clears up your complexion and slows down the body’s ageing process,” says nutritionist Dr Nupur Krishnan. Here’s what the diet of a bride-to-be must include.
Healthy start to your day
Starting your day on a healthy note is very important. Have a glass of hot water mixed with lemon juice after you get up. Then have a glass of carrot and beetroot juice. This will add a lovely glow to your skin.
Chuck coffee, have green tea
Caffeinated beverages like coffee, tea or colas can be very dehydrating. Try limiting your intake
to a cup or two and substitute it with green tea, which is packed with antioxidants.
Improve your immune system
Honey has antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties. Milk is high on vitamin and mineral content. Add honey to warm milk to benefit from its anti-bacterial properties. The combo also improves digestion and increases stamina.
Coconut water for clear skin
It hydrates the skin and helps remove pigmentation. It also helps in weight loss and in treating acne. Since it regulates the functioning of the intestine, coconut water is great for clearing your skin.
Loaded with minerals, tomatoes contain a good amount of Vitamin E, protein and dietary fibre.
It also has lycopene which has anti-oxidant properties.
Oranges aid digestion, detoxification and blood circulation. They contain phytonutrients and vitamin C, which produces collagen that in turn improves your skin’s elasticity.
