Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, who is also known for being a health and fitness buff, shares with us some useful fitness tips. She believes simple changes in your lifestyle can go a long way to keep you fit and happy. “I have always believed that you cannot do yoga for just two days and then stop doing it.
It’s a modification in your lifestyle that you have to go for,” says the actor, for whom, health means a lot more than just beauty. “I belong to the glamour industry, so being beautiful does matters. But, when you are happy from within and are keeping healthy, it naturally shows on your face,” she adds.
The actor, who has also launched her fitness DVDs in the past, advises people to wake up and sleep early, and avoid alcohol and cigarettes. “Discipline is important; eat a balanced diet, have fresh food and avoid aerated drinks. If you cannot exercise everyday, just go for a brisk walk,” she says, adding that a major reason for health issues is that people are cooped up in their offices, breathing air-conditioned air, and not inhaling pure oxygen. “People suffer from many lifestyle related diseases which can be cured simply by inculcating healthy habits,” she says.
