Launching a scathing attack on PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday said in recently held elections in five states, BJP was overconfident of its victory but it faced defeat in Chhattisgarh, MP and Rajasthan. He said, the results in the five states were the semi-finals and now “we will win the finals too”.

Attacking Prime Minister Modi for not disclosing his caste to people, he said Modi frequently changes his caste identity for poll gain.

He becomes a Sahu when he comes to Chhatisgarh, a backward in Maharashtra and a Chowkidar when he was with business tycoons Ambanis.

Sharpening attack on his Uttar Pradesh counterpart, Yogi Adityanath he said BJP faced defeat where ever Bharatiya Janata Party’s Hindutva Poster boy campaigned in election of five states.

“I want to thank Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi, whose extensive campaigning in Chhattisgarh led to BJP’s defeat, where 15 back to back rallies by Yogi reduced 15-year of BJP Government to just 15 seats,” he said.

Likewise, Bharatiya Janata Party was ousted from power in Karnataka where Yogi campaigned. And now when he accompanied PM Modi in his nomination in Varanasi, the ouster of Modi is sure.” he said amid loud cheer of audience.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh CM also addressed a public meeting in Ammarpur Bazar in Amethi on Monday.
