Three activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) have been arrested for allegedly violating prohibitory orders in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh

Praveen Mishra, Ravi Prakash and Vivek Srivastava were arrested last evening while they were demonstrating against arrest of BJP nominee from Pilibhit Varun Gandhi, home department officials here said on Tuesday.

They said that a case under section 188, which amounts to violation of prohibitory order, has been registered against BJYM activists.

Meanwhile, in another case of violation of the model code of conduct, an FIR was lodged against 50-60 activists of Bhartiya Valmiki Dharm Samaj for taking out an electorate awareness rally in Rampur district without permission, the officials said.
