BJP accuses Centre, Maya of playing politics over Bundelkhand
Senior BJP leader Kalraj Misra today charged the central and Uttar Pradesh governments with playing politics in the name of a package for the Bundelkhand region and demanded a white paper be issued on it.
Senior BJP leader Kalraj Misra on Tuesday charged the central and Uttar Pradesh governments with playing politics in the name of a package for the Bundelkhand region and demanded a white paper be issued on it.
Misra, who was on a visit to Banda on Tuesday, met party workers and attacked the two governments for recent claims and counter claims over a development package to the most backward, drought prone region and demanded that a white paper be issued on the same, a BJP spokesman said.
"Both the governments are cooking up figures about the package provided to the region as also the work done there, neglecting the plight of the victims and it would be appropriate that a white paper be issued so that the people could come to know the real picture", he said.
The BJP leader also alleged that Congress, Samajwadi Party and BSP were working together in Uttar Pradesh and asked his party workers to work unitedly to "expose them".
Misra also criticised the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh and met the victims of some of the recent incidents there.
