Upping its ante against the central government on the coalgate issue, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to hold a signature campaign against illegal coal block allotments in state.
The signature campaign, by the party's women wing, would be held at Hazratganj in the state capital. Ever since the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reported that there was a loss of several thousand crores to the state exchequer due to illegal coal block allotments, the BJP has been holding agitations across the country against the Prime Minister and the Congress.
Meanwhile, the BJP has also slammed the state government for its alleged indifferent approach towards the education sector.
State BJP chief Laxmikant Bajpai said that the fate of education for all, adult education and literacy campaigns is a testimony to how much the government cares about education.
