To reachout to electorates at grassroot level, Uttar Pradesh Congress is organising a one day convention of party's panchayat level workers on February 16.
The convention, to organised by Rajiv Gandhi Panchyatraj organisation, would be attended by senior Congress leaders like Union Minister for Panchyatiraj, Manishankar Aiyar, Minister for small scale industries Mahavir Prasad and Union minister of state for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal.
Congress incharge of Uttar Pradesh Dijvijay Singh will also be attending the convention.
"The convention is an attempt to reach out to the grassroot level and find out problems being faced by the people at panchyat level", Chairman state congerss Panchyatraj Organisation Bhagauti Chowdhury told reporters.
The senior leaders would try to feel the pulse of their representatives at panchyat level and give them directions to strengthen the party ahead of the loksabha polls.
