After the death of two persons, five others of a family tested positive for swine flu on Wednesday.
According to reports, the head of the family is an employee of SGPGIMS and his test was confirmed at PGI. Four others of the PGI staffer’s family were found H1N1 positive. All of them are getting treatment and have been advised to stay in isolation during treatment.
The family decided to stay at home and were taking medicines. The director of the PGI has been requested to provide adequate leave to the staff so that the family can rest and take medicines properly.
The district magistrate has directed CMO Lucknow to get them treated well and to ensure their isolation and also to send a special team on Thursday morning to check other family members and their friends.
Till now, 7 samples have been sent to PGI for swine flu test, out of which three have tested positive.
Head of the department of microbiology TN Dole said that utmost care was taken by the lab to protect its employees testing the samples.
