Man held with 11 passports in Mughalsarai

Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad

Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) has held one person with 11 passports, including three in his own name, in Mughalsarai under Chandauli district on Thursday.

ADG law and order, Brij Lal here said that on a tip off, one Indu Bhushan Sharma was taken into custody with 11 passports of which three are in his name.

On interrogation, Sharma said that he used to go to Thailand for which tickets were arranged by a travel agent, Akbar Amin of Kolkatta, the ADG said.

Sharma has stated that Amin had given him the passports belonging to residents of Gorakhpur and Maharajganj asking him to hand them over, the ADG said adding that further investigations were on.
