Pranab accorded warm welcome in Lucknow

UPA's Presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee was accorded a warm welcome by the Congress leaders in Lucknow on Tuesday on his arrival in Uttar Pradesh to campaign for a day to meet the MLAs and MPs of the supporting parties.
Union minister of coal Sriprakash Jaiswal and union minister of state for petroleum RPS Singh, along with Congress MP Jagdambika Pal were present at the Choudhury Charan Singh airport to welcome Mukherjee.
Pranab Mukherjee was accompanied by union parliamentary affairs minister Pawan Bansal AICC general secretary BK Hariprasad and AICC secretary Avinash Pandey.
UP Congress president Rita Bahuguna Joshi and Legislature Party leader Pradeep Mathur were also present at the airport to welcome the Presidential candidate.
Mukherjee drove directly to Taj Hotel and from there he along with the leaders reached chief minister's residence at 5 Kalidas Marg for meeting with the Samajwadi Party MPs and MLAs followed by a lunch hosted by Akhilesh Yadav.
Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav along with other senior party leaders were also expect to attend the meeting with Mr Mukherjee at CM's residence.
Mr Mukherjee is slated to interact with the MLAs and MPs of the Congress, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), Peace Party, Apna Dal and other smaller parties over tea at Taj hotel at 4.30 pm.
In the evening, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati would host a dinner for Mr Mukherjee at her party office along with interacting with the party MLAs and MPs.
Mr Mukherjee will return to New Delhi late at night.
The SP has a crucial 6.2% of vote share in the Presidential elections while the BSP has 3.9%.
