Prez in Uttar Pradesh today, Baudh Vihar to be his first stop
President Ram Nath Kovind will begin his two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh on Friday and his first stop will be Baudh Vihar in Risaldar Park where he will pay tributes to the mortal remains of monk Bhante Pragyanand who initiated Dr BR Ambedkar into Buddhism.

Pragyanand passed away on November 30.
This is for the second time the President is on a visit to his home state.
After becoming President, he had visited UP on September 14-15 with Ambedkar Mahasabha office as his first stop.
He will arrive in Lucknow at 9:20 am on Friday and directly go to Baudh Vihar. From there he will proceed to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) where he will attend the varsity’s seventh convocation, officials said on Thursday.
He will reach BBAU at 10:30 am and stay there for an hour.
From Lucknow, he will leave for Allahabad where he will attend the convocation of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT).
He will stay overnight in Allahabad. On Saturday, he will attend a function on the Allahabad high court premises.
In view of President’s visit there will be large-scale traffic diversion in the state capital on Friday. No buses will ply between Charbagh and Burlington crossing. They will be diverted towards Cantonment.
