The Congress general secretary and MP from Amethi, Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday called upon the party workers to wage relentless battle against BSP government in UP. Rahul Gandhi said the Congress would form next UP government on its own strength.

Addressing UP coordination committee meeting Rahul Gandhi asked the workers to fan out in the state and apprise the people about corruption in the state government.

He said the Congress would fight against this menace in UP. Referring to price hike, Rahul Gandhi said “prices have to be controlled by the state government”.

Laying stress on hard work and gearing up of the organization, Rahul Gandhi said there was no need of being defensive on any issue. He said that party leaders should fight out the prevailing situation in the state.

Two-day UP Coordination committee was summoned in Lucknow to chalk out plan for state assembly election due in 2012. Central ministers from UP, other senior leaders including MPs and MLAs attended the conference, which concluded on Tuesday.
