Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday met Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and hoped Uttar Pradesh would become a corruption-free state under their stewardship.

"Ramdev congratulated and blessed the chief minister during the meeting," SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said.

Ramdev said he was hopeful the Akhilesh government would work honestly and in public interest to take the state on the path to progress and development.

Talking to reporters, the yoga guru hoped Uttar Pradesh would become a corruption-free state under his leadership.

Ramdev said he would launch a nation-wide agitation on bringing black money stashed in foreign banks during the monsoon session of Parliament.
