Union minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Thursday advocated for a national debate on religious conversion and the ‘ghar wapsi’ drive being carried out by several saffron outfits.
He said before coming to any conclusion on conversion and ‘ghar wapsi,’ which were interconnected, the issues should be discussed together.
Talking to newsmen here during his daylong visit, Rudy also said those opposing Aamir Khan’s movie PK should move the court.
The minister, basically avoiding to comment on the issue, said that he had seen the movie and the censor board had cleared it. “Those objecting it should move the court,” he commented.
Meanwhile, referring to BJP’s electoral victory in Haryana, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir, the Union minister said it was a mandate on the programmes and policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Pointing out that the Modi government had been functioning as per the aspirations and hopes of the people, Rudy said the BJP would win the electoral battle in Delhi, Bihar and UP in future.
Commenting on the Samajwadi Party government in UP, Rudy said when Akhilesh Yadav became the chief minister, then people were quite happy and excited but now the enthusiasm had come down.
Rudy further said the UPA government had for a long time harassed BJP president Amit Shah by framing him in false cases. But now the court had given him a clean chit and the workers were happy over the development.
Speaking about the plans for his ministry, Rudy said a national skill development policy would be announced within three months.
