A case was registered against three people, including two local leaders of the Samajwadi Party, on Monday for posting an objectionable picture of chief minister Yogi Adityanath and announcing a bounty of Rs 1 crore on his head.

In his complaint to the Kotwali police station, BJP leader and advocate Raj Pal Singh Dishwar of Sasni in Hathras said that SP leader Sushil Yadav, a resident of Sikandrarao, posted a photoshopped image of chief minister Yogi Adityanath on his Facebook account on June 9.

Singh said he was on the court premises on Sunday when he saw the objectionable picture on his mobile phone. “In the comment box below the picture, another SP leader Sunil Yadav announced a bounty of Rs 1 crore for the person who would shoot the CM. The picture was liked by Sunil Yadav and Syed Rahman Ilyas,” he said.

Singh alleged that Sushil Yadav and his aides were hatching a conspiracy to kill the CM and legal action should be initiated against them.
