Three Dawood aides apprehended in Lucknow

Three alleged aides of underworld gangster, Dawood Ibrahim, were arrested from Jhandewala park area in lucknow, police said on Wednesday. Harun Ullah of Basti, Javed Ali and Kaleem, both from Pratapgarh, were arrested on Tuesday night when they were allegedly trying to loot a jewellery shop in Aminabad area to purchase arms, police said.

During interrogation, the trio revealed that they were directed by Dawood's brother, Anis, to kill a builder in Mumbai and for this they wanted money to purchase fire arms. Harun was arrested in Mumbai in a loot case way back in 2004, while Javed had been a rape and murder accused in 2002 in Pratapgarh, police said, adding that they were trying to trace their criminal history.
