Two women and a man committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of the Old Counsellors' Residence (OCR) building in three separate incidents in Hussainganj area here on Monday.
Since 1997, 11 people have committed suicide from this building.
The victims — all in their 30s — were nor identified.
Munnalal, a cobbler, was working outside the building on Monday morning when he saw “something” falling. Soon people rushed to the spot and found a woman lying in a pool of blood. The woman was wearing a green salwar-kameez and appeared to be from a lower middle-class family. The police found a scarf and a pair of slippers lying on the seventh floor staircase, which indicated the woman had jumped from the same floor.
SSP BP Jogdand arrived at the place at around 1.35 pm and was questioning the elevator operator, when he was informed that two more persons — a man and a woman — had also jumped from the building. The two appeared to be from upper-middle-class family. While the woman was wearing a light yellow and printed salwar-kameez, the man was wearing a dark maroon shirt and black trousers.
