Two bogies of a goods train derailed near Utretia railway station, about ten kilometres from Lucknow on Wednesday morning, affecting the movement of trains on the Lucknow-Varanasi section of the Northern Railway.

Senior officials had reached the site and efforts are on way to clear the tracks and restore traffic, railway sources said.

Some long distance trains were delayed following the incident, they said.
