Highlight Story

While Lucknow and Noida have seen tremendous development, other cities in Uttar Pradesh are still waiting for their turn. See the state of Kanpur.

To make way for industries in Noida, the ones in Kanpur have taken a backseat. All the leading industries be it JK, Lal Imli, LML, leather and fertiliser were once centred in Kanpur, which was considered the pride of India at one point of time. But see what has happened there. It has all gone.
Such is the state of corruption that the famous ‘80 feet Road’ in the city is now just 10 feet wide due to encroachment. Law and order is also bad. Though I feel the current one is still better than previous governments, there is long way to go. We have good educational institutions in the state but due to lack of opportunity braindrain is taking place.
There is enormous talent in the state but nothing is being done to retain it.

Stars like Amitabh Bachchan all from UP but what is the government doing to about it. It hurts me when people highlight the failures of my state.
