UP govt promotes 13 IPS officers to DIG rank

Uttar Pradesh government, on Tuesday promoted thirteen IPS officers to the rank of Deputy Inspector General.

Akhil Kumar (SSP Ghaziabad), Raja Srivastava (SP training Lucknow), D K Thakur (SP Vigilance Pilibhit), Prakash D (SP Pilibhit), Ashim Kumar Arun (SSP Aligarh) S N Upadhyay (Commandant of 28th PAC battalion Etwah), Harish Chandra Pandey (Commandant 43rd PAC Battalion Etah), Vijendra Sharma (Commandant 38th PAC battalion Aligarh), Keshav Sharan Pippal (SP Kanpur rural), Purnima Singh (SP Vigilance Lucknow), Pramod Kumar (SP CB-CID Lucknow) and Akshay Kumar Singh (Commandant 33rd PAC battalion Jhansi) were among those promoted as DIG.
