"I have never made any derogatory statement against anyone. As you know, I respcet women. I have replied to the Commission on the issue", Yadav told reporters here. He said SP believed in giving special place and respect to women, who irrespective of their caste were under-privileged.
Offering nomination to women journalists, Yadav said he was ready to give tickets to them if they come forward. He said the entire issue was "gift" of the electornic media which aired such news.
"Apke paas Khabar nahi hai kya, jo is tarah ki khabarin dikhate hai aur mamla khada kare dete hain", (Don't you have news that you show such news and make an issue of it)", Yadav said requesting the media to give objective news coverage. "Kripya aap hamare peeche mut padiye aur hume maaf kariye", (Please don't be after me and forgive me", he said.
