Less than two months after explosives and weapons were recovered from the Sidhwan Canal, the Dehlon police recovered another cache of weapons, including rockets and pistols, from the canal near Kaind Bridge on Sunday.
The recovered pistols have ‘Made in Khalistan’ engraved on them.
Giving details about the recovery, additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) City 3 Satvir Singh Atwal said Dehlon police got a tip, following which a search was conducted at the Sidhwan Canal, and police fished out three rockets; 15 pistols, including ten .30 bore Star pistols, four 9mm pistols and one .45 bore pistol; 11 magazines; six revolvers, including three .32 bore revolvers, a .38 bore revolver, a 450 bore revolver and a 455 bore revolver; besides, four 315 bore country made pistols.
Stating that Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) ultras used such weapons during the black days of militancy, the ADCP said though the weapons were made in China, Germany and the US, they had ‘Made in Khalistan’ engraved on them, adding that more recovery was expected after the water in the canal receded.
