The directorate of extension education of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will be organizing a training course on "Processing of Soybean" for the farmers and the farm women from July 9 -11 at Centre for Training, Kairon Kisan Ghar, PAU.
Divulging contours, Dr M.S. Gill, director of extension education, said that the PAU experts will dwell upon the importance and value addition to soybean, and utilization of soybean in bakery products.
Besides, the experts will give demonstrations on the preparation of soya products such as soya milk, cheese and flavorued soya milk.
Live demonstrations on preparation of extruded soya products will also be given, he told.
Informing that the participants will be apprised of the training facilities, provided by PAU, for the farmers and the farm women, the director said, the trainees will also visit Soya Products Unit of S. Bachittar S. Garcha at village Deh Kalan, district Sangrur for practical exposure.
